Premiership big-spenders Chelsea have joined the hunt to bring giant Czech international striker Jan Koller to England, according to media reports here Sunday.
Despite Anderlecht looking guaranteed Champions League football next season - they are six points clear at the top in Belgium - Koller is keen to move to a bigger stage, with England being his preferred choice.
Earlier this month, Sunderland boss Peter Reid enquired about the six-foot, eight-inch (two-metre) Anderlecht front man but was put off by the Belgians' 12 million pound (18 million dollar) asking price.
Anderlecht president Roger van den Stock told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "We have had twoAdiscussions with Chelsea about Jan. They are very interested in him and they have money to spend."
Koller played for the Czech Republic in their 1-0 win over Northern Ireland at Windsor Park in Belfast on Saturday. He has helped his country to a strong position to qualify for the 2002 World Cup, scoring two goals in their 4-0 win over Iceland last October.
